About Me

I always knew that there was something missing in my life, and after my darling husband told me to get a hobby, it got me thinking. What can I do?!?! Yoga, photography, sports, then it came to me, what I have been doing all along! So, here is my story! 

After meeting my husband in Thailand, I moved to the US from England in October of 2010, I was unable to work for the first six months while I was waiting for my visa stuff to come through and it just happened that it was the worst six months to be out of work, we were having our wedding that summer! So, I started getting thrifty with crafts for the wedding, I made everything for that I could, which helped us save money, kept me busy and added that personal touch. 

I have always loved making things, but making things that I truly care about is where my heart is. My love of crafts and generally getting my hands dirty has been reignited recently with the purchase of our first home. I finally have somewhere that I can design things to last. We bought a charming little Ranch style house with a yard for our dogs, we made it on the front page of the local paper, on a live talk show with our Realtor and filmed an episode for House Hunters that aired on February 1st 2013!!! After doing all of this, I decided that there wasn't much left, but to write a blog.

I am dedicating my blog to all of my loving family and friends on both side of the pond. I will be showing the progress that we are making with our home and some of the cute crafts that I have been working on.
